Heather...sorry I didn't get back to you sooner.
The "collection" of records on my page are ones that I have reviewed for this site. My personal collection contains the many records I've purcased new over the years as well as collections of used records I've purchased at yard sales, auctions, and even a library (bought the whole collection there). It contains many rarities, but few of any value to anyone other than me.

Heather , you might want to know that Matt was "Composer in Residence" at Sundance this last summer. Tough gig. Matt also worked on Pete Segers Hudson River project., and has a CD out called Live At Blvd Music. Has the classic AZ Christmas Song(Written by Matt) "Yultide in the Double Wide." Matt and I became pals after and I heard him preform it and I asked "This is a true story right?"
Hi Heather,if you missed Steve on Letterman ,it looks like the the band will soon be on the "Live on Letterman" part of the CBS web site. Matt is playing mandolin and is stage right of Steve.Check it out and let me know what you think
Just found out that we'll soon have access to applications for Ning that will allow me to place a classifieds section on the site - very cool, especially for you guys. Once we implement the feature, we'll broadcast to the rest of the gang.
Do you have Paypal? Or some merchant account that will make it simple for folks to buy your record stack?
When you got the first stacks, lets post them as a blog - once the blog is posted (remember - lead with a picture!), I'll send out a system-wide email to our members and see if we can't have some fun!
It'll be fun! In fact - that's the point - have fun with the themes, obscure references, etc. That might also be something we could pitch to the Vinyl Alliance if it turns out folks like it.
Cool - here's what I propose: Maybe make it a store project to put together $20 stacks of used LPs, each stack according to some theme ... then we can post them here, and send the post broadcast out to members who aren't as active, etc - if you don't mind some possible mail order business
Hey Heather. I like your MI wall. Why no Mitch Ridder and the Detroit Wheels? Just got a import "Story of" its a hits package from Germany.I wish Sundazed would get on the ball and reissue "All Mitch Ridder Hits" the original Lp was a stereo monster, produced by Bob Crewe

I was told by a "house engineer" at RCA that is was to help RCA's 4 channel CD4 Lp's remember them ? Anyway they had to be able to carry 60khz information on them for the CD4 process to work. Just one more of RCA screw ups like Dynagrove from the 60's.The Music Center Of T6he World was a great place, it is long
gone now.I get sad when I drive down Sunset Blvd and pass where it used to be
Competition for FBC, eh? Are you in the old CD Warehouse?
People's Records is on Woodward, just north of 75. http://www.peoplesdetroit.com/

RCA who have oo Bad Hope it is not a "Dynaflex. When I was in college radio in the early70's RCAwho have the cream of So Cal college radio come to RCA Music Center of The World on Sunset Blvd in Hollywood once a month.y to get us drunk on stuff we used to call"dripings from the pressing machine" and then play us the months new records. Every time at least one lp would skip and the chat would start Dynaflex DynaflexDynaflex. When it Happened to Henry Manncini in studio B and the Chant went up He stormed out. 2 months later the Dynaflex was redone. God Bless Hank Mancini. If it is not Dynaflex it should be fine. They where so bad that we would takethe David Bowie lp's and use them as Fresbies to try to hit the CineramaDome across Sunset Blvd. Those were the days
Supporting the local scene is so important! There's a weird pride involved in supporting your local musicians as a consumer, and I've never been in a band so I wouldn't know for sure but I bet the pride thing is reciprocal. I love my smaller local shops around SF.
That flyer/poster looks great. Took me a minutes to get "the mitten." Never heard MI called that before.

Very cool at any rate. Opening a record store is definitely on my life to-do list.
