By far the album that was on my top 5 of 2008 , well actually this was the #1 LP in my record shop( The Record Lounge in East Lansing,MI)last year.
I have to come clean , this album took a while to grow on me but after the first few plays through I was
hooked.
The vocals are amazing, almost reminiscent of America, and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
I think that it is about time that music gets back to great vocals, somewhere in the last few decades
bands have been lacking in that department.
The band was just on Saturday Night Live 2 weeks ago and sounded just as good if not better
live.
The band came out with a self titled EP in 2006 then another EP , Sun Giant in 2008 along with the
self titled full length the same year.
These very talented musicians are from Seattle , WA. and were actually going to name themselves Pineapple
(very bad choice) but decided on Fleet Foxes and the rest is history.
If this album is a sign of future music to come, we are in for a long line of great lp's from these 5 guys from
Seattle.

Yes it was a catchy tune and song. Everybody read into it waht they wanted to. Still a great little kids song about growing up.
Mary also had two wonderful Solo albums on Warner Bros Record in the 70's Mary, and Morning Glory I still have Both.
