Great Weekend for Music in Santa Cruz California

The Santa Cruz Blues festival is always a good time for music lovers. This year's line-up was extra special with BB King headling the show on Saturday and Joe Cocker doing the honors on Sunday. The Show also included Leon Russell, Keb Mo, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Jackie Greene. They were all great but Joe Cocker stole the show and showed that he can still sing all of the songs that made him famous. When he sings a song even one done well by other people he really make his own see for Example "I get by with help from my friends." It just doesn't get any better tha the way he does it. A great time this weekend.

He was actually the best of them all, still a strong voice. A great catalogs of songs most by other people, which he made into his own. "I Get By with a Little Help From My Friends" is a perfect example. It is just about his song now, even though it is a Beatles Classic.

Would love to see some pictures from the event!
