Big Wilco fan, was shocked to hear of Jay's untimely demise on May 24th. Genius, crazyman, brought a vision to Wilco that elevated them to new heights. Bennett seemed to drag Jeff Tweedy up and out of his Uncle Tupelo mindset once and for all , and with Yankee Hotel Foxtrot the collaboration paid off with an almost unreasonable sophistication and intimacy that was only hinted at in Summerteeth before it.

The Santa Cruz Blues festival is always a good time for music lovers. This year's line-up was extra special with BB King headling the show on Saturday and Joe Cocker doing the honors on Sunday. The Show also included Leon Russell, Keb Mo, Kenny Wayne Shepard and Jackie Greene. They were all great but Joe Cocker stole the show and showed that he can still sing all of the songs that made him famous.
