This was pretty much common knoweldge in the LA music industry around the late 70's Paul went after George, and was quoted as saying"Trust me I'm a Beatle"This all came out during the" My Sweet Lord"thing. I I remember Paul was interviewed in either "rolling Stone or Mix Magazine.
He did not pla yany of it it' .Paul Beaver of Beaver & Kraues was called to Georges house for a sales demo of early Moogs. He had Paul set up and do the demo. unknown to Paul at the time the demo was being recorded by George After the demo/ no sale was made and Paul never heard back from George. Them less than 2 months later the demo comes out as "Music from Wonderwall. Paul has never seen a dime from this.
Dont know about Sister.I'm a complete Gentle Giant ' freak. .Do you know about "Spooks Beard? One of the few "post neo progressive bands" that I can handle. You know I was in college radio for 3 years one and a half years as music director. Radio in the LA Market really sucks.KRTH the" oldies station is only playing late 50's to 70s (with Charlie Tuna the week end guy). The you have Jack FM ( a cd changer on random) And at night there is Jim Ladd doing "Free Form Radio"except he still thinks it is 1969 till 1975 he has become a "paradoy of himself. If you don't know any better it seems cool and that is what he's banking on. ,or your too wasted to care he always has at least one "dopper set
You know most "so called Beatles Fans " really don't know about them.I have most of the EMI Imports in stereo, and some Moblie Fi.(White, Abby Road, MMT). Do you know the true story about 'Wonderwall?
Shawn, this is a good groupYou.might want to know that I have the "Urban legend" Capital Sgt Pepper and YesterdayLp's with the Stereo George Martin remix from the late 70's. Yes they are real.
Welcome, Shawn, to BBD. Beatles, eh? I was aboard a city bus in Mpls ca. 1975 when a youngun behind me said to her BFF, "Paul McCartney is SOOOOO cute! I just LOVE him! I can't believe he used to be in another band!" Now that you're feeling old, welcome!
