I've done this with my music and literature collections. The music database, as I set it up, allows for media (records, CDs, etc) to be defined by artist and title and then songs are specified. Each song needs to be defined (by writer, if desired...

When I read the headling of this thread, I first thought of something akin to the Internet Movie Database. How hard would it be to create a Wikipedia-like online database for recorded material...CDs, LPs, cassettes, 8-tracks, etc? This would come ...

I used Microsoft Access to create my own database. You can create it as detailed or generic as you want, that way. If you have Access, I can send you the basic database that I created.

He was actually the best of them all, still a strong voice. A great catalogs of songs most by other people, which he made into his own. "I Get By with a Little Help From My Friends" is a perfect example. It is just about his song now, even though ...

Universe was in Santa Cruz in the 80's before the earthquake. I got lots of Mobile Fidelity Lp's there cheap, and they had one of the best English Folk Rock sections that I ever saw, better than Tower on Sunset Blvd.
Alexander is from San Francisco, and we have quite a few members from California

John, I'm in Southern Ca, and I love the Central Coast(Best wines in Califiornia sorry Napa) and the North. One of my all time favorite record stores was Universe Records on the "Old Mall' in Santa Cruz. I'd always leave the 101to go to the 1 and stop on the way to Montara (just north of Half Moon Bay).there used to be a store In San Bruno called (no joke) the Vinyl Solution. I don't know if it is still there. As I worked as a rep for NHT I know Beneca and some of the East Bay, along with "The City" pretty well.

The Santa Cruz Blues festival is always a good time for music lovers. This year's line-up was extra special with BB King headling the show on Saturday and Joe Cocker doing the honors on Sunday. They were all great but Joe Cocker stole the show and showed that he can still sing all of the songs that made him famous. When he sings a song even one done well by other people he really make his own see for Example "I g… Continue

Hello All, the record sale at the Record Man store in Redwood City was a success for me. I found several great records, some of them sound great. Some do not, but for $1.00 each one can hope for the best and not worry too much about the money. Here I am deciding between the Fabulous Thunderbirds and Pavarotti, and I got them both. Below me is Gary aka the Record Man owner of the shop.
