Big Black Disk on Ning is the social network side of Big Black Disk, the blog'a'zine. We'll be porting some of our blog posts back and forth between here and there, but it's here that you are able to blog for yourself and start discussions. Please take some time and familiarize yourself with all the things you can do here ... Ning has created an interesting platform and provided us with a bunch of cool tools.
OVERVIEW:
My Page: Here is where you'll provide a profile for yourself, as well as a place where you can launch any number of blog subjects and discussions. You can also upload all kinds of media, including videos and photographs. You can select these to be viewable by everyone, or private, or just viewable by your "friends"
Friends: Among the members here you may find that you have a particular affinity with some of them, and you can invite them into your group or circle of "friends" ... all you have to do is visit their profile page and add them as a friend. An invitation to accept will be sent to them. That's pretty much how the friends-thing works.
Blogs: Blogs are published to the main page as well as to your personal page. The most recently active blogs are kept current on the main page, and activity is judged by comments or responses to the blog. Regardless of Main Page feature, feel free to Blog as we'll be scouting the pages for content worthy to post to the Blog Site. Maybe you'll become famous! Probably not, but you never know ... just send me (Chris Sommovigo) a note and let me know when you've posted something!
Forums: Discussions of various types can be started here. This is more of an invitation to the members to discuss, vs. a Blog which is more of an article that you can comment on. That's my take on it, anyway.
There's the basics ... explore, experiment, opine, share, etc. Love to have you here!

Mary also had two wonderful Solo albums on Warner Bros Record in the 70's Mary, and Morning Glory I still have Both.
